Iceland 1 - Day 8 March 22, 2014
It is the last day for Iceland 1 and also the first day for Iceland 2. The morning arrivals have been picked up at the airport while the early arrivers have been in the hotel for the past two days.After breakfast and before check out we typically photograph the streets, architecture and life in the city of Reykjavik. The main church Hallgrímskirkja is a must.
Harpa is an architectural beauty. It is a concert hall and conference centre in Reykjavík, Iceland.The building was designed by a Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects and Olafur Eliasson a Danish-Icelandic artist . The building resembles an iceberg and is a steel frame encased in geometric shaped multicolored glass panels. At night it is lit to resemble the Northern Lights.
