Tunnel View - Yosemite NP

Tunnel View at SunsetThis is the typical sunset light we experienced each time we visited Tunnel View during my Yosemite and Mono Lake workshop last month.  However, this evening there was some interesting light on the trees in the valley.  The sun did briefly poke through the dark clouds that mage for an interesting image.  I was testing out the Platypod Pro MAX that I had place on the stone wall in front of the park signage.  I used a Sony A7R II with a Zeiss Batis 25mm and a Canon 24mm TS lens adapted with a Metabones MkIV for these images.  Please click on the images for a larger view. The Platypod Pro MAX is shown below.  The unit was a pre-production sample and production units will be available in October this year .  Even though the Kickstarter project funding goal has been reached you can still get in - Click Here._6090017While we waited for good light which never really came we were fortunate when there was some light that hit the granite rock faces to the right as you look out toward the valley.  The image below is what we saw (note the moon in the upper right):_DSC7711-Edit
